Robert Acquafresca for Juve

Juve seems to be heavily linked to the U21 striker, but if Acquafresca is the replacement for an eventual Trez sale, then we have done a rather weak deal. He's unproven at this level, and Juve are already struggling to make the most out of the young talents they already have, previously too.

Giuseppe Rossi is a far more safe investment, in a ideal world that's who Secco should get, and Del Piero play as a backup to Rossi.

Old boys ready to go on holiday!

Yeah that was probably all they thought about during the confederations cup, Italy have always at least had their solid defence, but now they don't even have that either. And I start remembering why Lippi left Juve in 2004, it can be enough at the end even with that man too.

In with Giovinco, Balotelli, Criscito and out with Cannavaro, Toni, Pirlo and Zambrotta now!... I think Juve have a worrying season on hold with Chiellini and Canna in defense, because after this season and the latest Italy matches you can start wonder if Chiellini also is really that great, he sure did lots of mistakes a so called world class defender should never do.

Mellberg exit

Juventus have sold Mellberg to Olympiakos, a nice move considering they got him for nothing in the first place, the swedish defender did mostly good, but is the kind of average-player you normally don't want to see in Juve.

Not good enough Lippi and Italy

Confederations cup: Italy 0-1 Egypt

I would much rather see a ultra-defensive Italy with two killer-strikes, than a whole match with "almost" good enough shots on target. The Egypt keeper was good, but the shots could have been more clinical.
I still don't see what Lippi is trying to prove with players like Pepe (seen in match), Palombo and Pazzini in the squad, they are sadly not good enough, and as Gattuso, Pirlo and Toni proved today and the last two years included, they are severely fading stars, done.

Putting 3 strikers on the pitch, with two of them playing more as wings didn't work either, why not use two centre forwards, and a 4-3-1-2 formation (in lack of real Italian wings).

De Ceglie joins Napoli

In a co-ownership deal. What is Secco thinking, the one LB in Juve with some basic talent, and he is sold. Instead we still have Molinaro.
It would be typical Secco to buy in another average useless player for this role, with the name Andrea Dossena or something, or should we hope for Criscito?

It sure is cheating these days!

I am referring to clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United to mention some, these clubs have huge gigantic debt's, but still they buy the most expensive players on the market, and not just one of them. But do they buy them with their own money?..NO, instead they buy them with money they might have years into the future (depending on success), and meanwhile their team can win trophies with stars they haven't paid for yet!
That is simply cheating in my eyes, it's betting with chips you don't have in your hands!.

I am really glad Juventus and other Italian teams don't do any of this, they still know what football is all about, a team sport, were tactics and mentality plays a stronger role to win trophies, rather than a name on a shirt.

Chiellini is a LEFT BACK!

Yes he really is, that is were he has played most of his career, that is were he made himself a name, and if you ask me that's were he should return too. Not that pitbull-Chiellini hasn't impressed at Ranieri's CB conversion..he sure do, but since Juve have signed Cannavaro, and Legrottaglie doing quite good... then why not make them the centre pair, this also solves the ever-lasting left back problem... and Chiellini could rule the left flank. Just as Cabrini and Zambrotta once did.
Off course Ferrara might have other plans, hopefully with De Ceglie, or will Criscito ever return(?), but you know what you get with Chiellini.
