He's unproven at this level, and Juve are already struggling to make the most out of the young talents they already have, previously too.

Giuseppe Rossi is a far more safe investment, in a ideal world that's who Secco should get, and Del Piero play as a backup to Rossi.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-33631293378739209422009-06-22T10:15:00.002+02:002009-06-22T10:23:17.897+02:00Old boys ready to go on holiday!Yeah that was probably all they thought about during the confederations cup, Italy have always at least had their solid defence, but now they don't even have that either. And I start remembering why Lippi left Juve in 2004, it can be enough at the end even with that man too.

In with Giovinco, Balotelli, Criscito and out with Cannavaro, Toni, Pirlo and Zambrotta now!... I think Juve have a worrying season on hold with Chiellini and Canna in defense, because after this season and the latest Italy matches you can start wonder if Chiellini also is really that great, he sure did lots of mistakes a so called world class defender should never do.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-61861335550649460102009-06-19T23:34:00.003+02:002009-06-19T23:37:34.991+02:00Mellberg exitJuventus have sold Mellberg to Olympiakos, a nice move considering they got him for nothing in the first place, the swedish defender did mostly good, but is the kind of average-player you normally don't want to see in Juve.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-12649554652930627212009-06-18T22:24:00.003+02:002009-06-18T22:38:55.674+02:00Not good enough Lippi and ItalyConfederations cup: Italy 0-1 Egypt

I would much rather see a ultra-defensive Italy with two killer-strikes, than a whole match with "almost" good enough shots on target. The Egypt keeper was good, but the shots could have been more clinical.
I still don't see what Lippi is trying to prove with players like Pepe (seen in match), Palombo and Pazzini in the squad, they are sadly not good enough, and as Gattuso, Pirlo and Toni proved today and the last two years included, they are severely fading stars, done.

Putting 3 strikers on the pitch, with two of them playing more as wings didn't work either, why not use two centre forwards, and a 4-3-1-2 formation (in lack of real Italian wings).

-------------------buffon

zambrotta-cannavaro-legrottaglie-chiellini

--------marchisio-pirlo-de rossi

-----------------giovinco
--------------iaquinta-rossi

a juve wish i guess :P

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-28075258207625695852009-06-17T01:07:00.005+02:002009-06-17T01:20:10.352+02:00De Ceglie joins NapoliIn a co-ownership deal. What is Secco thinking, the one LB in Juve with some basic talent, and he is sold. Instead we still have Molinaro.
It would be typical Secco to buy in another average useless player for this role, with the name Andrea Dossena or something, or should we hope for Criscito?

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-3840436636879706372009-06-13T16:14:00.004+02:002009-06-13T16:26:50.601+02:00It sure is cheating these days!I am referring to clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United to mention some, these clubs have huge gigantic debt's, but still they buy the most expensive players on the market, and not just one of them. But do they buy them with their own money?..NO, instead they buy them with money they might have years into the future (depending on success), and meanwhile their team can win trophies with stars they haven't paid for yet!
That is simply cheating in my eyes, it's betting with chips you don't have in your hands!.

I am really glad Juventus and other Italian teams don't do any of this, they still know what football is all about, a team sport, were tactics and mentality plays a stronger role to win trophies, rather than a name on a shirt.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-14291849865252956252009-06-11T22:28:00.006+02:002009-06-11T22:41:11.918+02:00Chiellini is a LEFT BACK!Yes he really is, that is were he has played most of his career, that is were he made himself a name, and if you ask me that's were he should return too. Not that pitbull-Chiellini hasn't impressed at Ranieri's CB conversion..he sure do, but since Juve have signed Cannavaro, and Legrottaglie doing quite good... then why not make them the centre pair, this also solves the ever-lasting left back problem... and Chiellini could rule the left flank. Just as Cabrini and Zambrotta once did.
Off course Ferrara might have other plans, hopefully with De Ceglie, or will Criscito ever return(?), but you know what you get with Chiellini.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-49541458385516600692009-06-10T21:59:00.002+02:002009-06-10T22:08:00.381+02:00Do we want D'Agostino?I'd say maybe, he sure is a good player, and has done well in his new Pirlo-role for Udinese, also included in the national team lately too. Everything points to Ferrara using 3 midfielders behind Diego and the strikers, and thats were D'Ago comes in. He could play in the middle, with Sissoko and Marchisio just by his side, and considering the miserable players we currently have in the form of Tiago, Poulsen and Zanetti, he sure is an improvement, maybe not a BIG improvement but with Diego already bought, i'd say that'll do it for the midfield.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-10811714176038019652009-06-09T01:17:00.005+02:002009-06-19T22:29:03.446+02:00Juventus transfers 2009/2010 seasonIN:
Cannavaro (free, Real Madrid)
Diego (25m euro, Werder Bremen)

OUT:
De Ceglie (4.5m euro Napoli)
Mellberg (3m euro Olympiakos)

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-61548789999779027252009-06-09T01:07:00.006+02:002009-06-09T01:37:00.553+02:00Serie A clean-up!

Kaka officially removed, Ibrahimovic next!

Yeah what a great gift for Juve, two of the most important players in the league is leaving, im already hearing critics say this only proves the poor condition Italian football is in, but you know what, its just a blessing!!. I personally don't know who i prefer between Conte and him, but both was great dedicated players with a lot of influence, Conte has something to show already as a coach. But Ciro Ferrara is already at Juventus, something that makes it more natural to leave it that way.

Ferrara has played lot's of years under Lippi, plus working together at the national side, you can't get a better "school", he was a great defender and is instantly accepted by the fans. His two matches so far couldn't have gone any better, and if you ask me, he is a worthy man to continue, ....when you can't get Lippi or Capello, then make a new great coach from the start, and this is the time to do it, Ferrara can turn out to be that new one!

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-49758045445533177252009-05-29T19:18:00.002+02:002009-05-29T19:24:23.682+02:00stuck with Nedved foreverMoney talks every late season, and Nedved is set to be offered yet another extension to his contract, sticking true to the tradition.
But I rather think the board fools themselves, in lack of having the skills or the "money" to get a decent younger player to replace him. And for sure, with Del Piero, Nedved and Diego..... forget Giovinco he will be gone just like Palladino in true italian style, youngsters don't have a chance!. A mistake waiting to happen, and waiting to regret on.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-23481774113312494992009-05-24T17:22:00.002+02:002009-05-24T17:26:28.347+02:00Back in business!Great start from Ciro Ferrara, it was really great to watch a game without Molinaro, Marchionni and even Grygera. This coach knows the game, he's been under Lippi for a long time too, and to see the "cynical" style after the two goal lead was wonderfull, you have to play with your head to win, and also be able to play through the middle, something who was a unknown word for Ranieri.

Forza Juve, 2'nd place still in reach!

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-79139087377733288042009-05-19T15:02:00.006+02:002009-05-19T15:14:21.909+02:00Why Spalletti? Not to rush things through, we should be happy to have gotten rid of CR, but why does so many including Elkann want Luciano Spalletti?. If you ask me he is in the same category as Ranieri is, a coach who almost wins, close, but just not close enough. He's proved nothing, he has won nothing! and still he is preferred?, sounds like another brick into a puzzle without winning mentality.

Why not gamble on Ferrara or Conte, they know the jersey, they know the game, they might even take a "pep guardiola", or what about Benitez or Rijkaard?. Because in my opinion Spalletti is even a bigger gamble, sure he might turn out to do well, and he sure will, but well is just well, we don't need that, we dont need another second place or a CL semi-final, we need trophies. All or nothing.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-79532774609619987662009-05-18T17:42:00.002+02:002009-05-18T17:47:14.611+02:00bybye ranieri, you won't be missed! Finally a great day for a Juve fan, something that should have happened last summer has come true now, the looser coach is gone, no more ranieri, never!
The board needs time to learn as you clearly can see, but at least they come to the same conclusion as the fans, we saw it long ago, that this coach was not gonna win us anything at all, no we most continue with the board, some more should go. I think this is the signing the team has hungered for, we need a new intelligent attacker to control the play, with his 24 years old, this may probably be the best player Juve could have signed.

Forza Diego, Forza Juve, new coach next.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-67123128700305492062009-05-03T17:04:00.010+02:002009-05-03T17:34:07.112+02:00Juve - Lecce 2-2Letting one of the bottom teams like Lecce get back twice to a 2-2 final draw is quite fantastic, but fans of Juventus est.2007 are used to it, so as ranieri says, we saved face with a draw, "nevermind".

At least CR is a perfect example of people getting far career-vise just out of pure coincidence and unfairness, a similar looser is hard or impossible to find, that's the true reality. You know what, let's hope it continues just like this, it might be the only way to get rid off him and maybe some others too!, we need a change this summer, next summer is too late, the damage is done.

Player ratings:

Nedved: 7
Rest: not even worth the effort. And did they respect Deschamps? (who by the way is a better coach).

No it's about time the fans don't go to matches in protest, never in Juve's history has fans chanted and disgraced the board, Ranieri and the players transportation coach more than yesterday, the police had to protect them. And it's by far well deserved to each and everyone.

These people are a crime against Juve, they make more damage than calciopoli itself because off their massive incapability. I think it tells them they did good enough and that they don't have any more potential, but off course neither of it is true!

The new people in charge has done a huge mistake in hiring Ranieri and failing to sign better players, once you slip out of the winning mentality too long, its very hard to get it back, Inter needed the calciopoli scandal to get it (as unfair as that is), and how Juve is gonna get the winning mentality back, I don't know.

You don't embrace 2nd position and a coppa Semi as a successful season!, what kind of people do that with Juve in mind?, over one hundred years of winning history and a Serie B season knocks it all down? give me a break!! its time to stop blaming it, it's over, with a more competent management Juve would have been back in business already.

2'nd place or not, the most worrying thing is the way Juve has played this season... it's just plain BORING.. no system, no plan, no style, almost no talent present either.
Ranieri is married to the plain 4-4-2 formation, instead he could have included Giovinco in a 4-3-1-2 behind the strikers, thats right Gio and Del Piero at the same time Ranieri it is actually possible. But instead we have stucked to the rusty wings we have, an old Nedved, a Camo who is more out than a 60 year old would have, and last but not least a Marchionni who doesn't even deserve a Chievo shirt. Lets just hope things get better next season, or accept the giant of Italian football as dead!

(photo: wikimedia commons)

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-65588729891845125412009-04-18T15:15:00.002+02:002009-04-18T15:21:00.512+02:00"Juve is all talk"Haha yes Mourinho is actually totally right when saying so, it's all talk gone from contender of CL and Scudetto, to only Scudetto and then finally hopefully only Coppa!
But with the incapable looser board Juve have, then what can we do or expect.

Anyway tonight's game is a fun one, and to tell you the truth a win would not even count for that much, we are still unable to catch inter, but off course it would be fun for the record.

Last but not least FORZA JUVE!... and "welcome" ;) back Zlatan!!!

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-46200101736592422832009-04-16T01:47:00.002+02:002009-04-16T01:56:39.307+02:00Domenico Criscito return to JuveIt's actually just a question, by many Juve fans would like to see this promising player return to the club. He was not given lot's of chances, and did an error against Totti in one of the first matches last season, but look at the man in defense these days, mr Legrottaglie had probably the worst debut season in Juve in recent seasons.
Criscito is young, and has impressed at Genoa, Juve should also have placed him at Left back in the first place since thats were he is best. Cant exactly say the current man in LB position is the most hard to replace either.

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-36150637654241606442009-04-11T22:25:00.003+02:002009-04-11T22:30:23.575+02:00Genoa 3-2 JuveAnother expected result by Juventus, they counted themselves into the scudetto race, but i think they should be happy if they can manage a 2'nd place instead. Because this is simply not good enough, it's a damn shame to see the old giant loose to teams like Genoa, but we are getting more and more used to it, and it's not right!.
Give Antonio Conte the chance to raise Juve, or anyone for that matter, we all know Ranieri is a contract to never win.
And by the way, go Palladino, you showed them!, ..never get rid of a great young player Juve!

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-29336019541709964422009-04-05T19:22:00.006+02:002009-04-05T19:36:07.996+02:00And the scudetto goes to INTER!!Thanks to a spineless Juventus team showing that they are not up for it at all, champions don't draw with Chievo home :( enough said.
The ironic thing is yet again Zlatan Ibrahimovic' value to Inter, he looks on good way to be the seasons top scorer, and also Inter's most important player this season too. So Inter don't forget who you got him from, and why!...even though you'll never understand why. But sorry for the de-rail, its no excuse..Juve are simply not a great team anymore.

The Juve dream exit list ahead of next season:

1. Ranieri
2. Marchionni
3. Secco
4. Blanc
5. Legrottaglie
6. Nedved
7. Knezevic
8. Tiago
....Sure some most come true? :/

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2833172705509450735.post-72772634140780272932009-03-25T11:20:00.003+01:002009-03-25T11:25:40.185+01:00Cassano? YES!Does he have to be 27 years old before finally seeing him in Juve, probably. The previous guys never really tried to sign this superplayer, maybe Moggi didn't like his personality, but now is a different story, he is more vise, and still a fantastic player.

BUT!.. what are Juventus planning with this player?, in my eyes he is the same type as Giovinco and Del Piero, to fade out Del Piero would be great, but we all know thats not gonna happen anytime soon unfortunately. And with Giovinco already revealed as no Nedved replacement.... makes you think, but a club with no room for great players like Cassano is not a great club, so go for it anyway!

Juvetalknoreply@blogger.com1
