Back in business!

Great start from Ciro Ferrara, it was really great to watch a game without Molinaro, Marchionni and even Grygera. This coach knows the game, he's been under Lippi for a long time too, and to see the "cynical" style after the two goal lead was wonderfull, you have to play with your head to win, and also be able to play through the middle, something who was a unknown word for Ranieri.

Forza Juve, 2'nd place still in reach!

"Juve is all talk"

Haha yes Mourinho is actually totally right when saying so, it's all talk gone from contender of CL and Scudetto, to only Scudetto and then finally hopefully only Coppa!
But with the incapable looser board Juve have, then what can we do or expect.

Anyway tonight's game is a fun one, and to tell you the truth a win would not even count for that much, we are still unable to catch inter, but off course it would be fun for the record.

Last but not least FORZA JUVE!... and "welcome" ;) back Zlatan!!!

Genoa 3-2 Juve

Another expected result by Juventus, they counted themselves into the scudetto race, but i think they should be happy if they can manage a 2'nd place instead. Because this is simply not good enough, it's a damn shame to see the old giant loose to teams like Genoa, but we are getting more and more used to it, and it's not right!.
Give Antonio Conte the chance to raise Juve, or anyone for that matter, we all know Ranieri is a contract to never win.
And by the way, go Palladino, you showed them!, ..never get rid of a great young player Juve!

Win or get lost!

It's already looking to be a miserable season with no trophys, just close, in true Ranieri style. So tonight's match is a be or not to be, Juve most pull them selves together and win this one, and get through, or else the season can count for being almost over, in March!

Lucky Juve

Catania 1-2 Juventus

First of all Iaquinta was obviously more than enough happy with his one goal to use his head for the rest of the match, stupid red card.
The bright side today was having Camoranesi and Buffon back, Camoranesi showed pretty soon what it means to have good players, especially when a coach is lacking skills outside of the pitch. Buffon is also back in business.

3 important points, but Inter is out of reach as usual.

Down again

I sure was wrong, Ranieri will never get the juve mentality, loosing home to Cagliari is simply embarrassing!. The 4-4-2 is so incredible boring to watch, and so is most of the players too... a huge waste of time.

Buffon - 7
Mellberg - 6
Legro - 6
Molinaro - 6
Marchionni - 5
Sissoko - 8
Marchisio - 6.5
Nedved - 7
Amauri - 4
Del Piero - 5

Zanetti - 6
Iaquinta - 6

Ranieri - "Incompetent" covers it better than any number.

Marchisio man of the match!

Juve - Fiorentina 1-0

Marchisio was influential today, great skills and work rate, crowned by a beautiful goal!... he is the living proof that you dont have to spend money on expensive transfers.
Buffon also had a great match, its good to have him back in goal.

Del Piero sporty?.. i dont know, he sure gets grumpy when substituted, and except for the assist, he was totally away and useless tonight. Amauri is a big pain to watch too lately, Giovinco and a Trez back in form would be my wish, for striking pair.

Lucky inter

They did not impress me at all, and as usual a lot of things goes their way, like an questionable goal!, ugly inter, intelligent Moratti suits them.
Juve did all they could today, Ranieri should have substituted Marchionni sooner, and Legrottaglie was very disappointing today, its things like this who never will give him anymore value.

It does not come as a shock, but unless Juve sell Buffon for tens of millions and buy a new team...then forget about the damn scudetto, its miles out of reach!!!!

Ratings Inter 1-o Juve:

Manninger: 7
Grygera: 7
Legrottaglie: 5
Chiellini: 8
Molinaro: 6.5
Marchionni: 7
Sissoko: 6
Marchisio: 7
Nedved: 6
Amauri: 7
Del Piero: 6

Camoranesi: 7
Iaquinta: 6

JUVE in-form

Finally Juve scores before the first 30 minutes in a Serie A game in a very long time, and you see how it went, 4-1 against Genoa is a nice result. It was a joy to watch, you can clearly see the passion is back, also in audience ;)
If they can continue like this (7 straight wins) against all odds, then no one can match Juve. We have a strong squad, that's for sure.

Ratings Juve- Genoa

Manninger - 7
Grygera - 8
Legrottaglie - 6.5 (those arms is beginning to be a little to much in the way)
Chiellini - 7.5
Molinaro - 7
Marchionni - 6.5
Sissoko - 6.5
Tiago - 6
Nedved - 7
Amauri - 8
Del Piero - 7

Camoranesi - 7 (it is clearly to see what he means in the team when finally back, his technique is fantastic)
Iaquinta - 7
Giovinco - 6

(Ranieri - 8 - made good changes, the team attacked a lot too.

Well done captain!

With another fantastic free kick, no one on this earth does it better, and ever will do. This seals up another positive result, the only thing spoiling the day was Inter merda and Cruz, but we'll get to them soon.

Ratings Chievo 0-2 Juve

Manninger - 7 (for a backup, he has alot of character)
Mellberg - 7
Legrottaglie - 7.5 (one of the absolute best defenders in the world right now)
Chiellini - 7
Molinaro - 6.5 (will he ever learn to cross?)
Marchionni - 7 (he has done quite well lately, suprising)
Sissoko - 6
Tiago - 6.5
De Ceglie -7 (shows his brilliance at times, very promising)
Iaquinta - 6.5 (nothing special, he deserves his bench)
Del Piero - 8
Ekdal - 6.5

Amauri
Grygera

Bate - Juve ratings

Manninger - 6 - decent stuff, except a little to early on the first goal.
Grygera - 6 - nothing special, nothing serious.
Legro - 6.5 - quite okay until he was subbed.
Knezvic - 5.5 - did not look that confident, made some minor errors.
Chiellini - 6 - Pretty good, but also a little away at times.
De Ceglie -6.5- He does very well actually, solid in both ends of the pitch, a little unprecise at times.
Giovinco -8- Excellent even at right wing, 2 assist, creater of almost everything in attack.
Camo -5- Saved us once, but apart from it, whats going on with him?, always something, and his only at his best for about 5 games a season, tired of it.
Sissoko -7.5- Despite everyone elses opinion, I think he is superb, aggressive, covers a huge zone on the pitch, and occasionally shows his ability in attack too.
Nedved - 5- He is finish, too old, nothing to contribute with.
Iaquinta -8- Clinical, man of the match.
Del Piero -5.5- disappointing, but as always he starts the seasons quite slow.

Ranieri -6- He fielded a pretty good team today, but the 2-2 result is not good enough, 3 draws in a row pretty much puts him in a bad situation, I think it won''t be long before he has to go, if this continues.

Samp - Juve ratings

Manninger - 7 - good match by him, couple of nice saves and seems solid.
Grygera - 6 - nothing special, did okay.
Mellberg - 6 - decent performance, did a couple of tough interventions.
Chiellini - 6 - not top-form Chiellini, but still.
Molinaro - 4 - absolutely horrible as often the case, he is not even good enough as a reserve, almost costed us a goal, looks in panic every time he get the ball. Ranieri and him most have something special together?
Camoranesi - 6.5 - Energetic, only misses some top-form to succed with all his play.
Sissoko - 7 - The one holding the midfield together, also provided the strikers more than many others.
Poulsen - 5 - Sadly he keeps disappointing, about 80% of his passes or distribution goes wrong.
Nedved - 5 - Lets just say we would have been better off with a retired Nedved.
Amauri - 6 - He tries, but the support is not easy to work with.
Del Piero - 7 - One of the few who actually does something, and tries to create chances.

Ranieri - 1 - Simple as that, De Ceglie, Giovinco?, winning mentality? were is it?.. You dont solve anything by putting on Iaquinta instead of Del Piero, when the problem throughout the whole match was the midfield and support in attack.

Sampdoria - Juventus

3-3 draw!

Del piero 7, 75p, Trez 16p | Cassano 22, Maggio 38, Montella 85

An entertaining match ending with a draw, Del piero scores two goals, one from a penalty =).. a fantastic performance by the captain, and are now currently the top scorer in Serie A, only Borriello can catch, thought unlikely. It was a shame to see Ranieri take him off after 75 minutes!!.

Cassano also played a fantastic match today, he show his extreme skills, one of the best players there is, no doubt, and if you ask me, there should be possible to make room for both Del Piero and Cassano in Donadoni's squad.
Players who didn't shine today were, Zebina, Marchionni (what is he doing in Juve? really!!) and Tiago didn't impress either, while Sissoko gets sent off.

Juventus - Catania 1-1

[Del Piero goes level with Trez]

Juventus struggles to a draw, after wasting some chances.. Del Piero finally scores in the 88 minute to secure us from an embarrassing loss. It was at mostly an frustrating display from Juventus, even though they produced some good chances, Catania had much more to play for, and managed to score one of the seasons strangest goals. Other remarks goes to Jonathan Zebina who puts in a terrible performance.

Week 36 2007/2008

Siena against Juventus

Siena take on Juventus at the stadio Artemio Franchi sunday afternoon. Juventus currently without any suspensions and can use the first choice line-up. Siena are without midfielder Coppola, as Christian Molinaro faces the club he played for the past two years.
This might also be a rare opportunity for some of the substitute players to get some minutes, depending on how the game evolves.
With Juventus already qualified for CL, but it is a great opportunity to retain the current winning streak.

Result: Siena - Juve 1-0...

Uninspering Juventus struggled a lot in this match, failing to create almost any chances at all despite most possesion, it had to take 84 minutes before they could even manage a shot on goal. This was really terrible to watch, and the question goes out to how Ranieri can lead his team from 5-2 in last match to this performance!
The second place is by this definitively out of reach as Roma win 0-3

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Juventus - Lazio 5-2

Juventus take another 3 points in this superb five goals match. Juventus is in real good shape now, and the play is a joy to watch, right now we could beat anybody, so opponents..prepare yourself for next seasons champions league.

Goals by:
Chiellini(2), Camoranesi, Del Piero, Trezeguet, Bianchi, Siviglia.

Atalanta - Juventus 0-4

Juventus takes the third consecutive win in a row, long time since i've seen them so superior as today, they totally ruled the whole game. Alex Del Piero with an amazing hat-trick day, and Nicola Legrottaglie back with a goal.

Del Piero and Trezeguets co-operation is better than ever right now, Trez provided Del Piero with two assists today, and its something he has done earlier this season too.

Forza Juve!

Juventus 3 - 0 Parma

Trezeguet 15, Palladino 30, Morrone 78

Juventus cruise past Parma, with goals by Trez, Palladino, and a Tiago pass via Morrone. Parma was never any threat and barely had any chances at all. And Juventus easily controlled and won the game.

Palladino played very well, and scored a wonderfull goal. Tiago is also beginning to show his qualities lately with good passing. Del Piero on the other hand did'nt have the best of games tonight, but he will be back.
